  We made it but..
Communication was lacking, they were late picking us up and delayed in replying to our anxious msgs via whatsapp. There's no wifi on the journey but the driver did stop and wait patiently while we shopped.   We used Caribe shuttle for 3 different transfers in Dec 2022. Their pricing was the best and were very flexible with our plans. Even when our return flight to Canada was delayed by 5 hours, they delayed our pickup accordingly. To make things even easier, you can chat and call via whatsapp and their English is great. Are we the only transfer option from Cancun airport?

Of course not! You can leave from the Cancun airport through the ADO shared service, which costs approximately 98 MXN (5 USD approximately).

You can also hire a cab or private shuttle service from Cancun airport. But you will have to wait in line to get on board and pay a bit more.

Why can't I use UBER?

Uber is a private transfer service which operates in downtown Cancun and part of the Hotel Zone, but currently the Uber transfer service does not have coverage and authorization to operate within the Cancun airport.

This means that it cannot carry passengers or pick up passengers. Of course, there is the alternative that you can walk for about 30 minutes to get out of the airport and request the Uber service.

However, you can consider that you will not be able to get to the airport with this service or you can request it from the airport.

What are the other transfer options from Cancun airport?

You can leave Cancun airport by ADO bus, which is the most economical service and can take you to downtown Cancun, Puerto Morelos federal highway, downtown Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras entrance, Akumal and downtown Tulum.

You can also hire a cab from Cancun airport, but you will have to wait in line and then board the cab. It is worth mentioning that this service cannot take you out of Cancun because it does not have a federal license.
